Cherokee Rose Quilters Saturday Stitch-In

Cherokee Rose Logo Saturday Stitch-In (AKA Quilt Til You Wilt) Twice each year, members of the Guild gather on a Saturday for a full day of fun known as Saturday Stitch-In or SSI. Previously known as Quilt Til You Wilt, this is a day for you to spend sewing with your friends, sharing ideas and fellowship.

Mark your calendars for 2017 !! Saturdays, February 25, May 20 and November 11.

The hours are from 9am to 9pm

Saturday Stitch-in February 25th

First United Methodist Church Corner of Hospital Drive and Prestley Mill, across from the hospital in Douglasville. 9am to 9 pm You can enter by a back door opposite the playground but there are several steps. If you park in the lot facing the hospital, you can walk around to the front of the church and go in the first door – only one step up. Then walk down the hall to end, turn left and meeting room in on the right. We will have use of the kitchen. Fee is $10.0 Come for a carefree day of nothing but sewing, eating, talking, eating, swapping info with other quilters, eating, and just having a good time. Bring something to drink and a dish or munchies to share with others and enjoy time away from your regular schedule. Come for an hour or two or for the full 12 hours of fun. If you have any questions, please give me a call. Ann Groves

Plan your projects, bring your machine and spend a winter day in the warm glow of quilting and quilting and quilting!! The cost is just $10 per person.

One of the best things about SSI is the flexibility for each individual quilter. We will be there from 9am to 9pm, but YOU come when you can and stay as long as you can. Each SSI will have one or two optional group activities, such as a demonstration or quick make-and-take project. Watch the newsletter for details on each SSI.

Bring your own lunch and we will have a potluck dinner around 5pm, convenient for daytime and evening quilters.

This is a great time to get advice on a project, spend some “quality time” figuring out a new pattern or technique, or just getting a bunch of stuff sewn while chatting with your friends. New to the Guild? There isn’t a better way to get to know other members! Saturday Stitch-Ins work for everyone.

So, here is what you need to bring:

  • Your sewing projects, machine, extension cord, and supplies.
  • Lunch
  • Covered dish for dinner. The general idea is soups and stews with salads and some dessert.
  • Of course, if you have something special you want to share outside that list, please bring it!
  • $10 fee
If you have any questions, contact Ann Groves.
