Cherokee Rose Quilt Guild - Golden Scissors
Each month we will list below the rules all of the quilters that were awarded the "Golden Scissors Charm". You receive the "Golden Scissors Charm" each time you make a quilt that measures a minimum of 220" around the perimeter of the quilt.
Please download and fill out this Golden Scissors PDF Form and bring it filled out to the meetings with you and your quilts.
This will make the process easier on the Golden Scissors committee
- The quilts will no longer be measured at the meetings. You will need to find the perimeter of your quilt "Before" the meeting and then fill out the form before the meeting. Just take the measurements from all sides and add them together to get the perimeter. For example: if your quilt has a measurement of 70" on 2 sides, and 80 on 2 sides, then you would take 70"+ 70"=140" and 80"+80"=160", then you would add those two answers together to get the quilt's perimeter 140"+160"=300".
- The form in the newsletter or from the website may be copied by you so you can get them filled out for each quilt you have for Show and Tell.
- The forms must be turned in to Dorene Bickford (day meeting) or Ann Groves (night meeting) "Before" the meeting in order to get your Golden Scissors or pin.
- Scissors/pins will be given out for the quilts that are displayed that day or night only. No exceptions.
- All quilts must be finished, bound, and labeled in order to get the scissors or pin for that quilt.
